The Guardian of Sleep
The desires from our very childhood
Is an awakening into a new brotherhood
This guardian of sleep
Can reap the fouls of the day
As the stepping stone comes our way
What we had buried deep by the conscious mind
In this realm is no longer left behind
Here secrets are known
And life is just a thin line
That nobody can own
A passage through the third eye
Even a puppet cannot defy
But condemned to follow
It is the guardian of sleep who hides all
Answers embedded in a riddled wall
Answers disquised by this hidden reality
Wishes fulfilled, but to she who not knows
To see and never really know
To feel, but never really touch
The emotions of trauma flooding to much
Blocked by a safety valve
And even deeper, look farther
The journey only gets harder
Look past the fog that vagues your mind
To do what it takes to cross that line
When there, what do you see
A little girl of the age three
Innocent child with knowing eyes
Knowing of the things, you can not
Or choose not
An end and a new journey has begun
Reality's tossed, destiny's web has been spun
She is the guardian of sleep, this is true
And only because she is you
