Rescue Me
I’ve nothing to look to for hope
All is lost, all is darkness
Forever burning, forever freezing
With no one to hear my screaming
Because no one’s listening
They watch in silence
Pretending I’m not being buried alive
They know what’s happening
And that they can help
But they fear the darkness that surrounds me
They know they just have to reach out
To rescue me from the bottomless pit
If I’m ever rescued-
If there’s any of myself left-
I will hate them
And they will wonder why
