Meaning of Life
Each and every step
Makes a sound
More deafening as the one before
Each door that opens
Comes with the broken hinge
That gets stuck and locks me in
Everyday I realize more
Life isn’t what it seems
Yet, I don’t want to know
What life is
I’ve questioned life
Too many times to count
And I’ve come to this conclusion
I asked my dear friend
“What is the meaning of life?”
And she answered
The meaning of life
Is to be found
When we die, as our time has come
It is for us to find out
And we die when we discover it
Then I asked her
But those who kill themselves
How would they find
The meaning of their life?
And if we find out the meaning now?
Why should we continue to live?
And those who are accidentally killed,
How would they ever find out?
She was speechless after
And the questions were never answered
But they will be
One day
Maybe when I find out the meaning of my life
When I die
