Set Me a Blaze
First when the sparks flew endlessly
I smiled. Let my world be set a blaze.
Creating fields of dancing amber crimson and warmth.
Soft glow of the blaze blinded us from reality unfolding.
Endless dancing and warmth hid what lied beneath.
Flames burning across skies and fields.
Leaving just ash and broken dreams as its calling card.
Even with knowing what lies ahead I still touch the creature twice.
I play the fool for the selfish flame.
Let it consume, let it take over, let it burn.
I'll take it burden.
Let me stand consumed. Let this flesh melt.
Dance around in the cold after glow at night.
Even gone I'll still be around.
