A liar and a thief
though our time was so brief
you stealer of dreams
everything was beautiful it seems
we laughed and we cried
and never denied
our need for the love
our one and only thereof
So bittersweet is it to see
You still hold the key
Though I try to let go
I still am determined to know
Why did you choose me
And then let me free
From the strength of your arm
Into a world aimed to harm
So again I whisper your name
Not embellished with glory or fame
In the silence and dead of the night
Darkness is the absence of light.
