Your Campfire Friend
When you are cold,
damp, shivering,
I am there,
I am happy to give all
that I have to you
and be your campfire friend
and warm up your
fingers and your toes.
But always,
at the end of the night
you decide you don’t
need me anymore,
and there I am again –
ashes to ashes,
dust to dust.
