Think back to the times when I was a little girl.
Think about all the times you had to hold my hand through everything.
Now look at me,
Am I really all that different?
I might be grown and older,
but I’m still that same little girl.
Why can’t you see that?
Why can’t you see that I am still your little girl?
Why can’t you see that I still need your hand to guide me through this life?
Why can’t you just accept me for who I am now?
You would always get upset when I didn’t tell you things.
But I tried
Why can’t you see that I tried to let you in?
But you didn’t accept me…
So now I’m afraid to take your hand,
now I am afraid to open up to you,
now…I’m afraid of you
