My Heart's Key
A special key,
Holds my very existence,
My will for living.
It shines silver, adorned with diamonds,
It's beauty throwing rainbows in the air,
Yet never sees the day.
It is hidden,
Deep within the shadows of my heart.
Strong yet fragile,
It pulses, want gathering in it's small form,
But I withhold it,
Forcing it back until it's almost gone.
For my key cannot flit,
Passing with the wind it cannot bear,
And should it be forsaken,
It chips, it's diamonds falling away,
Losing it's beauty,
Until it and I become no more.
