“What you are, I was
What I am, you will be”
His father said, looking at His son
A grimace on his face.
“What you are, I was
What I am, you will be”
“Pay for the wreck
you have caused me,
hated son so weak.”
His father pulled the knife
From under his pillow
“Take this knife”
His father smiled.
“Drive it through
Your heart
Your black
Wretched
Heart”
He took the knife
“What you are, I was
What I am, you will be”
His father smiled once more.
“What you are, I was
What I am-“
“I will never be” He interrupted
And drove the knife
Into his heart
Into his pure
Heart
“That is where you are wrong,
My unbeloved son.”
His father said, looking at Him as He falls
Onto the hospital floor.
“What I am, you will soon be”
