Deception
I look in his eyes and see your reflection
Duck taped my feelings so they could not scream deception
Try to be loyal, try to be a good friend
One look in your eyes, I see that's not how it will end
You and her intertwined, hand in hand
Leave me to wander, drawing hearts in the sand
He would turn and run from me if he knew
She would hate me if she found out that I love you
Love is said to be blind,
Though I can see you clearly in my mind
Try to find him I see you standing at a distance
No road gets to a destination at an instance.
He's leaving my mind to grow restless
While you go smiling, leaving me breathless
You stare into to me I feel my heart shiver
He tries to have me captivated, I feel my knees quiver
You point your finger, I take the blame
Hurt is just a symptom, to shelter the pain
I never lied, you never asked the question
Rejection would hurt more than this deception
I know what I want, I’ve made my choice
Will you turn around to the sound of my voice?
