Meters to inches

Headed for a crash and burn
down the hill and off the cliff
I saw you and my heart took a turn
my mind froze and my legs became stiff
you melted my hinges
and in between went from
meters to inches
within a matter of seconds
I had taken a time machine
in this mental mind of mine
a vision to one of the prettiest things
I have ever seen
down hard on my teeth
swallowed everything I believed
the moment spoke for itself
to see you
I melted
my guilt cringed
when we went from meters
to inches.
