Shattershock
Read my mind and took your time
Breaking me apart
Beneath the sheets
Lips, tongue, and teeth
And then you crossed me off
Bruises on paper-thin skin
Pressed against my sloping hips
And around the mountain roads
Red teeth marks on shoulder blades
And fingerprints surround my thighs
You left your mark and I left mine
Yours with blade and mine with time
And I scar with pink, possessive lines
While you simply ache and burn inside
Can you hear my gravel voice
Whispered in your ear
When you laid between my legs
And broke me of my fears
Of touch and pull
And losing all my self control
And then I lost myself to you
Perfect pale pathetic dreams
I wrote them on your spine
Down and up and back again
And gave you them to keep
But ache and twist and push me down
Bite and bruise and shout
Words that cut and hate to see
Vicious “love” that makes me bleed
Until there’s no more left to give
Read my heart and took your leave
Left your mark and I left mine
Yours with blade and mine with time
And then you walked away
