Maybe
The open roads of uncertainty
stretch out in front of us.
We have long since left
the land of play and laughter.
Now, we have nothing–
Nothing but the wide, open future.
Maybe we will live to see another day.
Maybe we won’t.
Maybe, rather than worrying,
we will overcome each obstacle as it comes.
Maybe, rather than planning,
we will learn to live in the moment.
Maybe, rather than fear,
we will learn to embrace the unknown.
Maybe we will go through Hell and back.
And maybe we won’t.
