Thirsty
Please make the words flow from my pen,
please let me go at least one day without feel afraid
of the past, of the future, of living evermore.
I thirst to live in earnestness, a world where there
are no lies
to run through wet grassfields
to bathe in the gentlest sunshine
and never to feel alone again.
Instead I am trapped
in this world of dull colors
only the slightest moments of real feeling
punctuating the monotony.
Now you know why I daydream so much?
