Rid Me of This Feeling Doctor
not a feeling of nausea
but something churns in my stomach
accelerating from my brain
like a wave frozen
in mid air
giving the pedestrians time to
admire the beauty of the wave
and relieve them
of reasons to run away
like a tornado
touching to the ground and
not moving but improving
the conscience and studies to find
answers
answers
is what I feel
this unique creature crawls up my throat
it rings aloud with every note
the therapist wears distaste on her face
she makes a note on her page
as the word starts to connect in my brain
as the wave heightens
and the tornado opens up :
creati-, I start
but interrupted by a generic face
handing me some pills to take
