The Girl in the Mirror
The girl in the mirror
looking back at me,
how beautiful is she?
A face incomparable,
skin as smooth as the top of a stepping-stone,
with a light pink tint of a rose,
how beautiful is she?
Eyes radiant as the sun,
with the power to capture any man’s heart,
how beautiful is she?
Neatly combed fair hair,
a color leaving others in envy,
how beautiful is she?
The girl in the mirror
looking back at me,
skin sucked dry
leaving pores to occupy.
Hair wild as a lion’s mane,
eyes carrying the weight of exhaustion,
yet filled with wonder.
How attractive would I be,
if I looked as beautiful as she?
