Love Me For Me
I don’t have
An ipod,
A tablet,
Or nook
I don’t have
A my space,
A twitter,
Or Facebook.
I don’t
Wear short shorts,
Or giant hoop earrings,
Or have a bellybutton ring.
I don’t
Text my life away,
Or wear tons of makeup,
Or wear my hair in a poof.
I don’t need
All that stuff,
I love who I am
And you cannot change me
So if you don’t like me
The way that I am,
Then you’re at a loss,
You just don’t understand
That I don’t need
To be pretty,
Popular,
Or rich,
All I need is somebody
Who’ll love me for me
Not for who
They want me to be.
