On the Verge of Blue MAG
I catch a whiff of rain
A faraway mist in the night
See storm clouds
Riding away on the silent wind
A plea to the gods
I fear it must be
I hear a late-night chime
Slice the dark on its way to my head
Feel imaginary insects
Climb fearlessly through the veins in my legs
If I stop too long
I can feel the world spin
I smell the frost
And hear the snow
Out on this hill
Alone alone alone
I'm curled in on myself
Wishing for a sign
Hoping for a clue
Dancing out along the edge
Stepping in and out
Hurting,
Aching miserably
And on the verge of blue.
