Falling Back to Darkness
I feel as if
I was defenestrated
Out of the light
To a world I hated
The darkness dims
That light and fades it
All alone, half-dead
And jaded
Afflicted by
The dark and lurid
Acting poised
I tried to cure it
In that I failed
So I endure it
But exists an evil
And I have lured it
To live this way
Was not pragmatic
But I could not stop
It was a habit
Like many others
I became an addict
Of maroon and black
Now I have had it
