life passing by
laying on an old leather couch
tucked up tight against a wall
slowly sinking
slowly sinking as I stare
stare into the great beyond
beyond this life I live
outside the window people walk
living their lives each with personal agendas
with secrets locked in vaults
and lies kept crisply ironed and hung out on the wall
the truth hangs as a noose around their necks
unable to break free they conform to the lies that grow to truth
freedom is a prison and war is peace
curiosity is the ignorance of the dim
ignore the writings on the wall
please don’t let me fall
guide me from the chambers of valhalla and these moral tribulations
