My "Once Forever" Promise
The heart beats something like no other
The senses jump around like molecules
Words of unspoken passion seem to spread like wildfire
That is when I met him.
His eyes were as intriguing as a majestic sunset
His walk, his talk, it was all flawless
His hair was so radiant as a night full of stars shining like fireflies
It was personality that struck me, however
He promised me "now and forever"
He gave me a gorgeous addition to my finger - a diamond ring
In a world full of everybody, he was a nobody
But that is what I adored about him the most
His tender lips pressed against mine
His body embraced my jaded-self
He was warmth, he was serendipity, he was beautiful
We were king and queen of the universe
One day he spoke my name intently
Words of mental electricfying shock swarmed my soul
It all had ended from that very moment
He could throw his stones on my porch
He could dig his sorrow in my being
He could do it all because it was dead and gone now
It wasn't "we" anymore, it was just "him" and "me"
Beauty had left my life, all I had viewed afterwards was distortion
Buldings collapsed, skies had fallen
He was now just a photo in the album
My everything had vanished forever
The heart beats something like no other
The senses jump around like molecules
Words of unspoken passion seem to spread like wildfire
That is when I met him.
