The Map
As I lie in bed
And poem and song race wildly through my head
I glance at the map that hangs above my desk
I study the map
I stare at it shapes
I look at is curves and corners
And lines and dots
At is bold printed words
And realize something, as admire it beauty
It shapes aren't shapes but continents
I look are curves and realize they aren’t curves but coastlines
The corners are countries
; the lines are river and boundaries; dots are river and cities
And the bold printed words:
The name that label the earth
Flooded or realization overtakes me,
The God the create this is so great
The Man that create is a being un-stoppable
After staring a little while longer,
I close my eyes and fall into a deep sleep,
And dream of the places that map can take me
