The devils door
I gaze around at these empty walls,
doomed to wander the endless halls,
searching hopelessly till the end of days
for the hole in the wall of this lonely maze.
With corridors narrow and ceilings tall,
echos rebounding from the pleas i call,
the walls close in, ever mor each day,
completing a scene of death and decay.
Faith is weakened as i walk alone,
for the sins i committed i must atone,
sins not of the body but of the soul,
as i strove only for lifes selfish goals.
At last the end, i can see the light.
Yet my body is rebelling, tense with fright.
I force myself through to the end of the maze
only to fall into lucifers blaze.
