On the Shores of Heaven
Drifting out to sea
Trying to swim back to shore
Useless, nothing helps
I’m lost for sure
…
I see nothing but ocean
More and more ocean
No island in sight
…
I hit a current
I get pulled under in the current
I am weak to the ocean waters
…
Drifted a abroad
Not knowing how or even why
I got there
…
Now motionless
Not moving at all in these waters
I had become an easy snack for a shark to eat
…
I finally wake up
I wake up on a shore
I did not know where
…
I laid there on the shore
Coughing sand and water out of my mouth
When all the sudden someone called my name
…
I heard it over and over
Again and again
Just calling my name
…
When I finally got the strength to stand
I looked to where the voice was coming from
Then I see a man
…
A man in white robs walking toward me
With a smile on his face
For a second I was confused
…
But only for a second
For when he came close enough
I realized I was on the shores of heaven
And that man was Jesus
