Reflection
I say goodbye to Mrs.Block and Ms.Gamm,
walk out the doors,
and freeze.
The clouds- as white as a sheet,
thick, and bulbous,
let down a small mist,
that cools my face.
Everywhere I look,
the air is white.
I look around at the college students,
walking across campus,
and the cars parked alongside the road,
The scenery is normal,
except that there is no sound-
not even the faint rumble of cars,
all is peaceful.
I feel awakened,
like I was asleep for a long time, but not anymore.
However, the urgency of leaving
snaps me out of my trance,
And I walk to my dad’s office.
Hating every step
I moved away from
That moment.
