the world's tears
the world cries remnants
of cold, dead tears
eyeless people part lips
to taste dry dust on dry tongue
the cracked, bloodless muscles
of ten million misty lives
fogged up by ten thousand years
dust tastes of humanity’s slime
sticking to the drain pipes
clogging up the sewers
of Earth’s poisoned
inner machinery
once well-oiled, smooth
now clash and jam
and lament for repair
the world screams pain
in burning tears
frightened people gape open mouths
to taste fierce fire on punished ignorance
