Election Day
Cold, icy rain falling,
Making the day a gloomy one.
The candidates wait in their homes,
Waiting to see the final results.
Only one can make it into office,
Only one who can save us all,
From the dreadful economy
That has built up over the years.
Democrats and Republicans alike,
Hiding in their shells, waiting.
Political debates left us weeks ago,
Leaving us wondering who will win.
Tensions rise, as another president will come
And another will go.
