I Loved her First
December 12, 2012
Just weeks ago, she was in my embrace
her soft hands covered by gloves of lace
her laughter ringing through the trees
could bring a man to his knees
and for her I soon fell
I was the lover of a southern belle
but when she left and you took her place
I looked at you, but I saw her face
It's like our love was always cursed
I can't love you, 'cause I loved her first.
