The Beauty of Death
Saying Hello is Easy
But when you are forced to say goodbye.
Our Earth provides the beauty of life,
Including the afterlife.
Saying goodbye to you was the hardest thing I had to do.
Watching you waste away to nothing in that bedroom
As I became angry with God,
You fell more and more in love with him.
As I questioned everything I believed in,
Your faith had never been stronger.
Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you.
The way your smile could light up a room.
The way you came in from a long day of work, and drank a cold beer.
There is only one beautiful thing about death.
Knowing your soul will never get lost in the mist of life.
Knowing you’ll never fill the pain of life.
Knowing one day we will meet again.
