Your Love
Your love is tainted,
I cannot trust it.
Through your pledges,’
It’s not to be trusted.
I fear your eye
Is on another.
You’ve given me cause
To believe you love others.
Your love both feeds
And takes away my insecurity.
So how can I believe
Your admirations purity?
You aren’t good for me,
I know this much is true.
But I need it, I crave it,
What do I do?
I’m not leaving,
I can’t, just can’t.
But will you?
Will my heart’s fate be left to chance?
Confusing attention
You bestow upon me.
But it’s attention,
And that’s good enough for me.
