That One Second
That one second, you can never get back
One moment you were here; and now you aren’t
What just happened?
You take your eyes off the road for one second
To only check your phone and
BAM!
Glass is everywhere,
The car is banged up pretty badly
You can hear cars and ambulances in the distance
But, you are slowly slipping away
One thing crosses your mind-
What if?
What if didn't’t check my phone?
What if I paid attention?
People get to you, but you are slowly going to a better place-
A place where there are no accidents
A place where nothing bad can ever happen to you again.
should’ve known better.
You broke a life-ending law,
Now, you pay the price.
