My heart has a hole in it
Where he used to live
Its grown hollow and cold there
The sides are limp with all take
No give
My heart has a hole in it
I don’t know how to
Move on
When the tears keep falling
From time to time
Whenever I recall what’s gone.
My soul has a dent in it
Because he ran into me hard
At first it was exhilarating, exciting
And fast
But now my soul is scarred.
My mind has a piece missing
A piece he took with him
When he said he cared
I invested my thoughts and passions
and now a void
Fills me up to the rim.
So my heart has a hole in it
As I’m sure you now see
So don’t be too harsh in judgement
For I am missing a part of
Me.

My inspiration for this poem comes from the various heartbreaks I have expeirienced. I hope that those who read it can relate and find comfort in knowing that their pain is not alone.
