I Am No More
Line by line
This ink spills
My heart poured out
From sparrow-feather quills
Word upon word
Anger is loosed
Forgiveness is found
Before neck meets noose
Mistakes past are simply gone
No longer, I, the Devil's pawn
No longer my days on Earth, though,
For I sit, still, within Death Row
Life here will end for I
As planned according to law
Pleading wastes what breath I've left
Time's better spent writing in this stall
Soon dawn will rise
And I will be no more
Nothing left of me, but puddles of ink
Stained upon this cell room floor
