Walk It Off
Walk it off now.
We tried,
But what you need
You will never find in me.
So I walk it off.
We got going too fast
And we lost control.
We fell.
So walk it off.
In the dark,
The Yellow Brick Road does not glow as brightly.
She has lost her path
And the trees,
They are whispering, telling her which way to go.
A pair of ears can only take so many voices
And a heart can only take so many knives.
She walks it off.
The air leaves your lungs
And singeing tears bite at your eyes,
But nothing lasts,
Not even pain.
So walk it off.
