Rainbows Do Come
Let me tell you something child,
there’s one heck of a big world out here.
Life is a bundle full of moments
Some far, some near.
Some are given to you,
some are taken away.
Some you can choose,
some simply grey.
Life is made up of diversity.
Dreams.
Nightmares.
Extremes.
There is one thing you must remember,
one thing above all:
No matter how small one may be,
how you see the world,
is all up to you.
No one can tell you what to do.
If you look from afar,
you can notice stormy clouds,
foreign realms, isolated, bizarre.
Cliffs that lead far down to the sea,
deep ocean cracks and
things that sting worse than a bee.
But if you keep you eyes open,
if you learn how to see,
there’s a lot more to life
if you chose to roam free.
There’s more to this world,
though illusions can lie.
Many treasures to find,
spread your wings, learn to fly.
When gales come for you,
find strength from within,
overcome your fears,
and never give in.
So close you eyes now,
I wish you sweet dreams.
But when you wake try,
though hard it may seem.
Hopefully someday you’ll learn,
that rainbows do come, once defeated the storm.
