When Friendship Ends
What do you do
When your friends
Turn against each other
When everything ends
Your laugh, your hope, your love
You’re not sure where to go
Not sure who’s really there
Time goes slow
Smiles don’t show
You’re at an all-time-low
Friends still shout lies and hatred
Who in the world do you trust?
Not me, don’t trust me
Else our friendship will be dust
I can’t lose you
I can’t
I can’t
Can I?
I’m confused; no-one tells the truth
People who were my soul mates
Tell me that it’s over
Is this fate?
It can’t be…
Now I think I’m going nowhere
With no-one who cares
I run, run, run far away
With no secret lies or glares
I’m alone, very alone
I convince myself it’s better this way
With no-one who
Would ruin my day
But then I look behind
And standing alone, smiling, you’re there
You must have run after me
And I realise that you care.
