"One day I'll be something. And it'll be the last thing I'll ever be."

Ode To Shorts Too Short And Sunglasses Too Big
To Never Caring The Time Of Day
And Skin Forever Dark
To The Waves Crashing At My Knees
Mixing With The Sand Between My Toes
To The Sweet Smell Of Fresh Mowed Grass
And The Honeysuckles Growing Across The Fence
To The Days Warm As Roasted Marshmallows
And The Nights We Wish Would Never End
Ode To Summer, To Be Here Again.

&quot; What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well.&quot;<br /> ― Antoine de Saint-Exup&eacute;ry, The Little Prince

I absolutely LOVE this poem! So beautiful and meaningful! Definitely one of my faves on TI! You really put me in the scene and make me wish summer would come sooner! I also love the similes you include and the poem's overall flow. Keep writing!
