Inked
I have an inkling to be inked,
To have a symbol of permanence,
In this transient life.
Where nothing stays forever,
Where we hold on to memories,
With broken hearts and tears.
Time they say, is our biggest enemy.
Our survival revolves around learning to swim in the ripples of time,
I need something to remind me of who I was,
Something which doesn't recede to the exploits of adversaries,
A friend who shall always be there,
Until I live,
Who doesn't evade me in the season of need.
My existence is my own personal forever,
And the little tattoo on my hand is a token of me.
