She Never Did
She never quite liked herself to begin with
She was quiet and shy and she never did
Really belong
She was lacking in confidence
And friends
And trust
She became depressed
And it never quite did go away
The depression made her think
In a way that tore her apart
She lost hope and felt alone
Knives and razors were the only things
She trusted
But the cutting turned to purging
And the purging turned to starving
And the starving turned to burning
And the burning turned to poison
And soon enough
She just could not leave herself alone
She was broken and addicted and
Ready to give up
But remember
She never did quite like herself to begin with
And in the end
It was just too late
