Monster in the Mirror
Staring at a place
where words cannot go
staring at a face
once I knew, but hardly know
I would give the world to be
one chance, the girl who had not done
the crime; the little brass key
opened the door to his affectionate home
Then with this token shiny and cold
the door I firmly locked
and turned to meet his eyes of gold
to read his wary shock
Down he fell against the wall
above, the clock echoed its midnight chime
terror broke off his angered call
I left him with a little brass key, frozen in time
Staring at a place
where words cannot go
staring at a face
once I knew, but hardly know

It wouldn't allow me to fit the entire verse here but it's 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 <br /> Love never fails.
