Terrorists
A menace, a hazard
The Devil’s helpers
who feed on human fear and panic
Like a lion devouring a helpless zebra
On the plains of death
They crush hopes and dreams
taking away the lives of innocent people
They have demands of greed and selfishness
Profiting only themselves
While leaving a trail of death, grief and sorrow behind
They strike our spines with chills of horror
They are Death’s minions
Monsters lurking in the night
Planning, waiting, attacking
Ruthless, merciless fiends thirsty for blood and revenge
Who turn to violence and brutality
In time of great trouble
They are the black curtain
That blocks out even that last ray of shining light called Hope
Destroying lives, buildings and even governments
But in the end peace, justice and freedom prevail
Like the morning sun rising to end the darkness of the night
