Love Comes
Far cry from what I expected.
The very soul of your being
Encased in the television
I bought last Sunday
Buying salvation
To cleanse me of my sins
What is scapegoat?
The ways of the Greeks
Drinking wine and fornicating with the priests
To create art.
The only thing we respect,
Because of the method of its creation
Dipped in sin
A work of beauty
You in your yellow sundress
Standing in the shadow of rain
You left your umbrella
The last time you stayed over and it was raining
Pouring
Soft kisses between my thighs
And on my back
We don’t face each other
When we make love
And the soothing sounds of
Nirvana play
And The Posies singing
When Love Comes
I wouldn’t be at home,
But maybe you’ll be left alone
Standing at my door.
