The thick smell of oil paints creeping into her studio,
Her clothes covered in splotches of color,
Her hands loosely gripping a slim bamboo brush,
The artist painted the dying sunset
On the canvas
In rich hues
Of pale orange
As it melted
Into the night.

The author's comments:
One of my friends, taking art classes at this arts center called the Zhen Arts and Music Institute, painted a gorgeous sunset. I was inspired by the scenery and wrote this poem.
