But you didn't
Remember the time we got in a fight
And I ran out of your place screaming?
I thought you’d break up with me
But you didn’t
And remember the time I got so angry and upset
That I broke your grandmother’s precious vase?
I thought you’d make me pay for a new one
But you didn’t
Do you remember the time I made you look like a fool
In front of all your friends?
You got so annoyed, I thought you’d hit me
But you didn’t
Do you remember the time I said I was taking my meds again
And I swore on my dead aunt’s grave?
You knew I was lying and I thought you’d tell my parents
But you didn’t
And remember the time we had a date planned
And I never showed up?
I thought you’d make a big scene about it to the public
But you didn’t
Yeah, there were many stupid, bad things that I’ve done
But you've put up with all them and me
You loved me all the same and you protected me anyway
There were many things I had planned to do
A bunch of things to make it all up to you
So I waited for you to come home from work last night
But you didn’t
