I Promise
I wish I had the courage to at least say something and try
But I'm a coward that would rather pity herself and cry
In the background I hope you won't slip away
Because I know my fate after that terrible day
I'll lose you to time, but you'll be stolen by distance
And there is no magic in the reality of this instance
I will say my goodbye now, before I fall deeper
But I will still cry until I am considered a dreamer
I will hate and miss you, for that is what is true
But remember, I love you, that I can promise you
