A Flush of Pink

Sometimes I’m blush pink -
passionate but careful, conscientious but caring, loquacious but reflective -
like a blooming rose, I make a statement in smaller ways.
Other times I’m a deep sea blue -
nervous and worried and overwhelmed,
frustrated and moody and unsure about life.
But today I’m feeling blush pink -
motivated, content, and blossoming into my own,
finding my roots in this garden of life.
