You hold the most wonderful things;
A beautiful bed
Awesome posters and paintings
Four shelves stacked with magnificent books

But all these things are not as good as you
You allowed me to draw on your walls as a child
Now paint them to match my style
I must sadden you at times, the way I mistreat you

Poking painful holes in your sides with thumb tacks
Throwing stuff around and making a mess
But you put up with it, with me
You don’t deny me entrance so I know you don’t despise me
