An Old Friend
This is my last shot
Before I lose her forever
I watch as she is still as a statue
Taking only breaths.
The city of lights gleams in the background
And the rays of light hit softly at her skin.
I let my hand flow freely as it outlines her face
Catching her every detail.
This is my last shot,
Before I lose her forever
I watch as she is still as a statue,
Taking only breaths.
Her amber eyes sparkle in the sun,
while her coiffured hair lays gently at her checks.
Her complexion is as white as snow,
And her lips are as red as wine
This is my last shot,
Before I lose her forever
I watch as she is still as a statue,
Taking only breaths.
My brush doesn’t stop
As it captures her raiding elegance
Next thing I know there she is
Life like on my canvas
And next thing I know she’s gone.
