How Can I Be Sure?
Dearest friend, I swear to you I’m loyal.
Oh, but are you? The eerie doubt creeps in.
Doubt shall creep no more; your trust I shan’t spoil.
Then with the callous truth you must begin!
I pray you believe this is misperceived.
Well, do pursue your train of thought, I say!
It was not ‘till his downfall was I peeved.
And by this have we been in such dismay.
And I beg of the to forgive such haste!
Does thou have reason for such forgiveness?
Does thou not see how I am so shamefaced?
I do, but I wonder, ‘are thou changeless?’
I do say again, I do swear to you….
I hope to decide without further ado.
