A Hundred & One Days
They didn't call it love
Not for a hundred days
They courted the first ten
And the next twenty they waited
They watched the world around them
And saw the inevitable end of others
But they held each other’s hands for the next 30
Candle lit dinners and hushed nothings filled the air
As the final 40 days neared
What is left for us she asked?
Goodnight he said
I cannot promise you the future
But I will be here tomorrow
For our hundredth and one day
Until we meet again my love
Goodnight
